The short version
- This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising or tracking.
- The quote form sends nothing by itself — it opens your own email app with the message ready to send.
- We use what you give us to reply, to quote, to run the job safely and to keep the records the law requires. We never sell it.
- Site photos are of buildings, not people. Where a site has CCTV, signs say so.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your information at any time — and complain to us or to the ICO.

Some records outlive the project because the law says so: waste transfer notes are kept for at least 2 years and hazardous waste consignment records for at least 3 years; accounting records for 6 years. We don’t make decisions about anyone by automated means alone, and we don’t build profiles of the people we deal with.
3Our lawful bases
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018 we may use personal information only when we have a lawful basis. We rely on:
- Contract — to do work you’ve asked for, or to take steps you’ve asked for before a contract, such as visiting site and preparing a quote.
- Legal obligation — for example health and safety and CDM 2015 records, waste duty-of-care records, notices to the local authority and HSE, and accounting records for HMRC.
- Legitimate interests — answering enquiries, running sites safely and considerately, protecting our business, property and this website, and dealing with claims, where those interests aren’t outweighed by your rights. You can object at any time (section 10).
- Consent — only where we ask for it specifically, for example before using a photo of your project on this website. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Accident and health information about people working on our sites is special category data. We use it only to meet our employment and health and safety obligations, under the conditions in Schedule 1 of the Data Protection Act 2018.
4This website: cookies, storage and fonts
- No cookies. This website doesn’t set cookies and doesn’t use analytics, advertising or social-media tracking.
- Session storage. The site keeps two one-word notes in your browser’s session storage:
lcd-intro, so the opening animation plays only once per visit, and lcd-hoard, so the page transition can finish on the next page. They contain no personal information, are never sent to us and disappear when you close the tab. The site works the same if your browser blocks them.
- Fonts and scripts. All fonts, scripts and images are served from our own website. Your browser doesn’t contact any third-party service to show these pages.
- Links. The “Open map” link on our contact page goes to OpenStreetMap, which has its own privacy policy. Nothing is sent there unless you click it.
5The quote form and email
Our quote form doesn’t send anything to a server. When you press “Send request”, it opens your own email app with your answers filled in, so you can check them, attach photos or drawings and send the email yourself. Until you send it, nothing reaches us.
Emails you send us are stored by our email provider and on the devices we use to run the business. Please don’t send more personal information than we need to price the job.
6On and around our sites
- Photographs. We photograph buildings and work areas before, during and after the works, for surveys, schedules of condition, method statements and the record we hand over. We aim not to capture people; where someone is visible by chance, we don’t use the image to identify them.
- Site boards and letters. Our hoarding shows a named contact and phone number so neighbours can reach us. Letters to neighbours go to the address, not to named individuals, unless you’ve given us your details.
- CCTV. Some sites have security cameras. Where they do, signs at the site say so and give our contact details. Cameras are positioned to cover the site and its entrances, not neighbouring homes or gardens.
7Who we share it with
We share personal information only when we need to, and only what’s needed:
- specialists working on your project — asbestos surveyors and HSE-licensed removal contractors, structural and temporary works engineers, scaffolders and plant hire firms;
- the local authority (for example in a Section 80 demolition notice or a Section 61 application), the Health and Safety Executive (for example F10 notifications or RIDDOR reports) and utility companies arranging disconnections;
- waste carriers and permitted waste facilities, through the documents the law requires;
- our insurers, accountants and professional advisers;
- providers of our email, IT, document storage and website hosting, who act on our instructions;
- the police, courts or regulators, when the law requires it or to protect people’s safety.
We never sell personal information, and we don’t share it for anyone else’s marketing.
8International transfers
We keep information in the UK where we can. Some of our email and IT providers may store or process data outside the UK. When they do, we make sure it is protected to UK standards — for example by using countries the UK recognises as adequate, or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.
9How we protect it
We use password-protected, up-to-date devices and accounts with two-factor authentication where available, limit access to the people who need it, and keep paper records on site in locked cabins and offices. If a breach puts your rights at risk, we will tell you and, where required, the ICO.
10Your rights
You have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- have it corrected if it’s wrong or incomplete;
- have it deleted, where we no longer have a reason to keep it;
- restrict how we use it while a question about it is resolved;
- object to our use of it based on legitimate interests;
- receive it in a portable format, where we use it on the basis of contract or consent;
- withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on it.
To use any of these rights, contact us using the details in section 1. We’ll reply within one month, may ask you to confirm your identity, and won’t charge a fee unless a request is clearly unfounded or excessive.
11Complaints
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us first — we’ll acknowledge your complaint within 30 days and let you know the outcome without undue delay.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, telephone 0303 123 1113.
12Children
Our services and this website are for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from children. Demolition sites are dangerous places: children are never allowed on them.
13Changes to this policy
We’ll update this policy when the way we use personal information changes. The version and date at the top show when it was last updated.
